Robert Kenneth Troupe, 58, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. He was born on August 25, 1962 to Robert Troupe and Betty (McCrea) Caudle.

Robert served in the U.S. Navy for five years. He worked as a setup operator for over 30 years at Rable Machine. He previously worked for Shelly’s Smith and Sons Towing Service for five years. Robert would do anything for anyone and was always a phone call away. He loved fantasy golf and anything to do with racing, especially flat track dirt bikes and drag racing. He enjoyed motorcycles and owned his first Harley Davidson in 2008 and later bought himself a Polaris Slingshot.

Robert is survived by his significant other, Valerie Courtwright; mother, Betty (McCrea) Caudle; father, Robert Ray Troupe; siblings, Christopher (Holly) Troupe and Trisha (Becky) Troupe; son, Michael Childers; and step-children, Dawn Courtwright and Zachary Mauk.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Michael Troupe and Billy Troupe; and step-mother, Patricia Troupe.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 South Diamond St., Mansfield, Ohio 44902. A service will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 30, 2021. Memorial contributions may be made to OhioHealth Hospice. The family would like to give a special thank you to the workers of OhioHealth Hospice for all their kindness and care shown towards Robert.
