Robert Douglas Turley

Robert Douglas “Bob” Turley, of Naples, FL, formerly of Springfield, IL, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021, in Springfield, IL. Bob was born March 17, 1961 to Earl LaRue Turley and Dolores Turley (Bentley) of Springfield.

Bob was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father, LaRue Turley.

He is survived by his mother, Dolores Turley of Chatham, IL; his brother, Michael Turley (wife, Ticara) of Springfield, IL; son, Joshua Turley (wife, Liz) of Chatham, IL and daughter, Nicole Turley Smith (husband, Pete Smith) of Glenarm, IL. Bob was a loving grandfather to Griffin Smith, Emma Smith, Alanna Smith, Declan Smith, Junuh Turley, and Oliver Smith. Bob is also survived by several nephews, a great nephew and a great niece.

Bob was a 1979 graduate of Glenwood High School, Chatham, IL and spent his early adult years in Springfield, IL employed as an accountant for the State of Illinois. Since relocating to Naples, FL, Bob had been employed by Ritz Carlton Hotels surrounded by many friends and co-workers who dearly loved him. In addition, Bob had been successully pursuing his life-long passion of restoring antiques with great skill and artistry. Bob’s talents were far-reaching, he was dearly loved by many, he will be sorely missed by family, friends and all those fortunate enough to have him as part of their lives.
