Robert “Bob” Curtis Taylor, 92, beloved husband, father and grandfather, of Glen Rose, Texas, passed away early on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, in Glen Rose. Cremation has taken place and services will be private at a later date.
Bob was born on November 20, 1929, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Clint and Margaret Curtis. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War as an MP. On July 16, 1955, Bob married Bobbye J. Echols and together had two sons, Brian and Mark. Bob owned and operated his own heat treatment company. He “could fix anything with his hands.” Bob was a member of both the Glen Rose United Methodist Church and the Lions Club for over 50 years. He and his wife Bobbye enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the United States, Canada, and in Europe. Most of all, Bob cherished time spent with his family.
Bob is survived by his wife, Bobbye; his sons, Brian Clint and wife Kimberly Taylor and Mark Curtis (Debbie) Taylor; his grandchildren, Lindsay and husband Stu Montgomery, Curtis Dawson and wife Christine Taylor, and Cullen Taylor; and by his great-children, Bonnie and Viola Taylor.
Bob was predeceased by his parents and by several siblings.
