Robert “Bobby” O. Baughman III

Robert “Bobby” O. Baughman III, 61, of Rochester, formerly of Springfield, passed away on Monday, June 28, 2021 at his home. He was born August 26, 1959, in Springfield, the son of Robert O. and June Beem Baughman. He married Marilyn A. Pierson on August 21, 1983 and she survives.
Also surviving are his daughter, Nicole (Zach) Baughman of Springfield; son, Josh (Crystal) Baughman of Chatham; stepson, Chris (Nicole) Lancaster of Tennessee; eight grandchildren; mother, June Baughman of Springfield; sister, Sandra (Danny) Murphy of Louisiana; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Robert is preceded in death by his father, Robert O. Baughman and one brother, Bill Baughman.
Robert was a member of the Danny Judd Memorial Horseshoe League, formerly named the Marvin Taylor Horseshoe League, for over 30 years. He was an avid outdoor sportsman. His favorite outdoor activities were hunting and fishing. Robert enjoyed playing in softball leagues during his earlier years.
Robert worked as a union roofer for 34 years and at Henson Robinson Co. for over 28 years. He was a proud United States Army veteran.
Memorial Gathering: 4 – 7 pm, Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
Memorial Service: 10:30 am, Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Pastor Donn Stephens officiating. Burial will take place at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
