Robert “Bob” Paul Swank

Robert “Bob” Paul Swank, 77, of Mansfield, passed away at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital on Friday, December 31, 2021. Bob was born on June 11, 1944 in Mansfield, Ohio. He was the son of Paul and Margaret (Twitchell) Swank.

 

Eccentric, unique, out of the box thinker, Bob was a larger than life; one of a kind person. Bob graduated from Lexington High School and the University of Cincinnati with his bachelor of science degree. He was brilliant designer and inventor who owned his own business. Bob was an avid motor sports enthusiast especially Formula One Racing and Indy Cars. Mid Ohio is where you would find him almost always throughout the summer season.

 

He is survived by his daughter, Jessica (Timm Kulka) Swank of Mansfield; his son, Jeremy (Michelle) Swank of Mansfield; his grandson, Landon Swank; his step children, Mike (Cindy) Finley of Mansfield, and Melissa Finley of Lima; his step grandchildren, Zach and Zoe Finley; his sisters, Susan Line of Muskegon, Michigan and Patricia (John) Krebs of Huron, Ohio; and his nieces and nephews, Viktor Krebs of Cleveland, Ohio, Kimberly Easton of Colorado, Rick Barnes and Kate Wesley both of Muskegon, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Jean (Shock) Swank.

 

There will be no public services observed. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the Swank family.
