Robert “Bob” A. Peck, 90, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Friday, Aug. 12, 2022, at Living Center West in Cedar Rapids. A graveside remembrance gathering will be held for family at a later date.
Bob was born on Oct. 12, 1931, in Marion, Iowa, to Lester H. and Laura L. (Bateman) Peck. He graduated from Marion High School with the Class of 1950. Bob married Norma J. LeClere on Dec. 23, 1949, in Marion. They were married for 60 years, until her death on Dec. 30, 2009. Bob worked for Alliant Energy for 40 years, retiring in 1991. Out of love, he strove for the well-being of his family throughout his life. Bob will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bob is survived and lovingly remembered by his two sons, Barrie Peck of Maquoketa and Ron (Connie) Peck of Grand Forks, N.D.; daughter, Rosemary Peck of Onslow; two grandchildren, Jeremiah R. Peck of Beaumont, Calif., and Joel (Katie) Peck of West Fargo, N.D., five great-grandchildren; brother, William “Bill” G. Peck; sister-in-law, Joanie Peck; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Norma Peck; sister, Mary “Betty” E. Towers; brother, Gerald A. Peck; and a nephew.
