Rita L. Albrecht

Rita L. Albrecht, 77, of Gnadenhutten passed away peacefully on Monday, April 19, 2021 in Community Hospice, Truman House at New Philadelphia following an acute stroke.
Born in Anoka, Minnesota, she was the daughter of the late Edlor and Ruth (Schafer) Pariseau. Rita was a homemaker and a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She devoted her time investing in those relationships. Rita was firmly grounded in her faith and enjoyed sharing her love of the Lord. She and Sparky served as missionaries in the Philippines, where she developed life-long friendships. She loved to cook, bake, shop and go to lunch with friends. Volunteering at Community Hospice was one of her favorite jobs. She was a member of the First Baptist Church at New Philadelphia and had also attended the Authentic Church at New Philadelphia with her family.
Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Durrant “Sparky” Albrecht on December 2, 2000. Surviving is a daughter, Aliena (Tim) Holt of Florida; two sons, Dave (Joan) Albrecht of Uhrichsville and Tim (Mareta) Albrecht of New Philadelphia; two sisters, Carol Pust of Tennessee and Sherril (John) Fox of North Carolina; a brother, Ronnie Pariseau of Minnesota; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, a sister and a brother are also deceased.
A private burial will take place beside her husband in East Avenue Cemetery at New Philadelphia. A public memorial service is to be held on Sunday, May 30th, 2021 at 6:30pm at Authentic Church of New Philadelphia, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that any memorial contributions be made to Community Hospice, Truman House, 716 Commercial Avenue SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
