Richard Everett Stephens age 84, passed away Monday March 14, 2022, at his home in Granbury, Texas. He was born March 20, 1937, to Silas Everett and Ellen Beatrice Vaught Stephens in Fort Worth, Texas.
Visitation: 5-7pm Friday, March 18 @ Martin Funeral Home, 100 S Morgan St. Granbury, Texas
Service: 1pm Saturday, March 19 @ Martin Funeral Home
Interment: 3pm Saturday following Chapel Service @ Greenwood Community Cemetery, 3150 Greenwood Rd. Weatherford, Texas.
Richard graduated from Weatherford High School in 1955. He retired from Bell Helicopter as a Supervisor after working 32 years. He was a Jaycees Member for years where he volunteered his time to help the community and young adults. He coached women’s softball and enjoyed watching the Rangers. A few of his hobbies were playing the guitar and deer hunting but what he really loved was being a family man.
Richard is preceded in death by his wife Patsy Ruth Stephens, mother Ellen Cooper and stepfather Bill Cooper
Richard leaves behind to cherish his memory wife Sue Stephens; children Sherrie Ahern and husband Brian, Phyllis Stephens and husband Jimmy Laney, Kevin Stephens and wife Liza; stepchildren Mike and Christy Mulkey; grandchildren Felicia, Ryan, Colby, Brandon and Vance; step grandchildren Sara, Amanda and Jordan; and 23 great grandchildren.
A special thanks to Maria Angeles, Claudia Nevarez and Maria Elena Vega. These ladies helped the family with Richard with loving compassion during a difficult time. Also, a special thanks to the “Punchin Parkinson’s” at First Christian Church of Granbury.
