Richard D. Clark, age 80 of Sheridan, IL passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the Sandwich Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Sandwich, IL. He was born on March 26, 1942 in Columbus, OH the son of Joseph and Cotolena (Yeager) Clark.
Richard was united in marriage on January 27, 1967 to Sharon Stimpfle and they spent the next 55 years happily together. Mr. Clark was a proud Veteran of the United States Army National Guard. He was a member of the Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Millbrook, IL. Richard was employed, until his retirement, as a Plastics Engineer. Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
Richard is survived by his wife, Sharon Clark of Sheridan, IL; his daughter, Keely (Aaron) Morris of Big Rock, IL; his grandchildren, Haley Morris, Olivia (Jacob) Vandermyde, Braden Morris and Cameron Morris; his great-grandson, Grayson Vandermyde; his brother, Joseph Clark of FL; his sister-in-law, Frances Clark of OH; also several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Cotolena Clark; his son, Kyle Clark; his brothers, George and William Clark; also his two sisters-in-law, Betty and Polly Clark.
A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1010 West South Street in Plano, IL.
Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until the Hour of Service on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at the Funeral Home in Plano, IL.
A Graveside Service will take place at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 9, 2022 in the Northlawn Memory Garden in Westerville, OH.
