Dick was a 1954 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School, and later attended Ashland College. People often say how a man treats his mother will show how he will treat you, Joan witnessed first hand the love he had for his mother, and he treated her with that same love. Dick began working in high school and continued through his adult life at Mansfield Screw Machine. He always said it was a great place to work for over 57 years. Dick loved the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns.
