She went to Thomas Nelson community college where she earned her associates degree in Health Care and a major in Science, followed by a job at Sentara as a lab tech. Later in life she cleaned homes as she wanted to keep caring for many and loved the relationships she had established. Her friends were always around her and she always had some adventure planned as she loved to stay busy including going to many charitable events, going to the zoo, flea markets and antique shops. When one drove by she would say that’s my heart, I love that sound. Antiques were her passion to collect and oh how she had so many. Her grandchildren had her heart. She loved Yorktown beach and had many cookouts with her children there, she loved to travel and explore the world and teach her children about different cultures.
