Raymond “Ray” Henry Bardwell, Sr.

Raymond “Ray” Henry Bardwell, Sr., of Springfield, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021, at St. John’s Hospital. He was born July 2, 1974 in Springfield. He married Michelle Fifer December 31, 2017, and she survives.

Survivors include one daughter, Hailey (Matt Eliason) Hulett of Riverton, two sons, Raymond “Ray” Bardwell, Jr. and Devon Bardwell, both of Springfield, three grandchildren, Audra Matuscki, Ryatt Matuscki, and Zaylon Eliason, three brothers, Dale “Gene” (Laurie) Hampton, Jr., of Greenview, Doug (Stephanie) Hampton of Jacksonville, Brian (Becky) Hampton of Springfield and one sister, Kim (Clyde) Hampton of Springfield, several nieces, nephews, cousins and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Jane Mitts and Dale Hampton, Sr. and sister-in-law, Vicki Hampton.

Ray was a construction worker Hart & Clayton, a cook at Silver 7’s and a bartender at Conie’s Pub. He loved cooking for family and liked to fish and camp.

Memorial Gathering: 4 – 6 pm, Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Memorial Service: 6:00 pm, Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Minister Brenda Protz officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Fund.
