Kim You Thlang, 82, of Heartland, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on September 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born to Thlang Dok and Lach Hin on December 16, 1942, in Cambodia, Kim lived a life marked by grace, humility, and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Kim dedicated his life to his family and to serving God with quiet strength.
He was a faithful member of the Cambodian Church of Christ, where he served with dedication and love for many years. His gentle spirit, prayerful heart, and firm belief in God’s promises left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Kim is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Phim Phor; his eight children; nineteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and his brother, Thlang Cho.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thlang Dok and Lach Hin; his brother Hou; his son Yana; and his daughter Khsey.
A celebration of Kim’s life will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the Cambodian Church of Christ, 11426 Lake June Rd, Balch Springs, TX 75180.
As we remember Kim’s life, we give thanks to God for the time we were blessed to share with him. His legacy of faith, love, and quiet strength will continue to live on through all who knew him.
