Phyllis Jean Roberts

Phyllis Jean Roberts, 88, of Springfield, passed away on November 6, 2021. She was born on June 11, 1933 in Gibson City, IL to Benjamin C. and Phyllis L. (Cooper) Berkler and they preceded her in death.  She married Arthur D. Roberts  on December 5, 1957 and he preceded her in death on January 20, 2005.

She is survived by two daughters: Connie M. Roberts of Springfield and Holly (David) Clark of Pawnee; two grandchildren; Kaci and Josie Clark; brother, Benjamin (Carol) Berkler of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Phyllis was a resident of Springfield most of her life.  She was a graduate of Feitshans High School and Brown’s Business College. She worked for over 30 years for the State of IL at the Legislative Printing Unit. She was a Cub fan, Elvis fan, she loved her bacon, playing video poker and wintering in Arizona with her husband.

Memorial Gathering:  11 am – 12 pm, Friday, November 12, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Memorial Service:  12 pm, Friday, November 12, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.  Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
