Penny Moorer

Penny Moorer tragically passed away September 16, 2021, at Pardee Hospital. Born in Henderson County to the late Loree Dalton Mace and Elmer Mace; she is also predeceased by brother James Elmer Mace.

A lifelong native of Henderson County, Penny was a 1972 graduate of East Henderson High School. In Penny’s spare time, she enjoyed catching up on her favorite true crime dramas; she especially appreciated CSI:Miami. Her great-great nieces and nephews were very special to Penny. She would often tell the children stories. Thankfully Penny is now reunited with her sweet furbaby, Butterbean.

Left to cherish Penny’s memory are her siblings, Danny Mace, Katherine Hefner and her husband Bobby; and nieces and nephews, Marty and Valerie Chapman, Joyce Coggins, Shannon Roussow, Tab Hefner, Stone Hefner, Robbie Hefner, Kim Hefner, Shelia Hefner and Tony Hefner. Penny also leaves behind great-nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, Johnathan Hyder and his wife Anna, Zach Roussow, Travis Coggins, Makyala Chapman and numerous great-great nieces and nephews.

Penny’s family were emotionally and financially unprepared to deal with this loss.  Friends of the family are asking for your support to contribute to Penny’s memorial fund so that her loved ones will have the resources necessary to deal with some of the financial burdens which they will certainly face in the upcoming weeks and months ahead. Please click below.
