Peggy J (Dollmeyer) Roberts was called home to our Lord, September 22, 2024. A celebration of life service will be held by Pastor Erik Haefke at the New Apostolic Church, 2930 Wilson Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404; Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 10 am.
Born December 27, 1955 to Roland and Swanie Dollmeyer (Heidema). Her parents would move to Iowa where she went to CR Prairie graduating in 1974.
Peggy loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and her family. Whether it was a phone call or going out to eat, she always made time for family. Peggy loved reading and studying scripture. She worked in the healthcare field for nearly 40 years and deeply cared for people. Peggy also was a talented artist in drawing and cake decorating. Peggy touched many people’s lives by just being herself. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
The family would like to thank Shell Rock Senior Living and Cedar Valley Hospice for giving Peggy exceptional care in her last days.
Peggy is survived by her daughter Susan Varela (George Moore) of Michigan; two sons, Jon (Melody) Roberts of California, Matthew Roberts of California; a brother, Larry (Marcia) Dollmeyer of Cedar Rapids, IA; 7 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, and 3 infant children.
