Paul Dean Colbert, 67, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa died Saturday, September 13, 2025. Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids. A funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial: Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Paul was born June 2, 1958, in Riverside, Iowa, the son of Timothy and Martha (Huff) Colbert. He dedicated many years to the City of Cedar Rapids Streets Department before retiring in 2021. On March 14, 2021, Paul married Debbie Meyer. He enjoyed fishing with his son, grilling, and camping, but above all he cherished time with his family. A true Iowa Hawkeye at heart, Paul was a loyal fan through and through.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Meyer; son, Colton Colbert; stepson, Clayton Meyer; sister, Yvonne (Rob) Bickel; brothers, Mark (Brenda) Colbert and Mike Colbert; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Phil Colbert.
