Patricia L. Dennison

Patricia L. Dennison, 86, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Regency Care nursing home. She was born November 17, 1934, in Farmersville, the daughter of Chester Abe and Margaret (Coady) Van Geison.

She is survived by four children; daughter, Deborah A. McCarty Martin of Springfield; three sons, Michael (Sheri) Dennison of Springfield, Steven (Jeanne) Dennison of Springfield, and Jeffrey (Gregory) Dennison of Troy; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and one brother, Ronald (Janet) Van Geison of Eureka, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Marsha Strumpher and one grandchild.

Patricia belonged to Southside Christian Church. She was retired from the State of Illinois. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Patricia enjoyed quarter auctions, playing slot machines and flower gardening. She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Blues. Most of all, Patricia truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Visitation: 11 am – 1 pm, Friday, May 28, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 1 pm, Friday, May 28, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Pastor Brooks Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Horse Creek Cemetery in Pawnee.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.
