Patricia Ann Snider, 76, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 18, 2023, at Silver Oak Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Marion, Iowa. Inurnment will take place at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, at Linwood Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids is assisting the family.

Pat was born Nov. 28, 1946, in Iowa City, the daughter of Clifford and Amanda (Thomsen) Parmenter. She was raised in Central City, Iowa. Pat was united in marriage to Leon Snider on Feb. 17, 1968, in Anamosa, Iowa. The couple lived and raised their children in Maquoketa, Iowa, before moving to Cedar Rapids. Pat worked for Goodwill and as a housekeeper at area nursing homes. She enjoyed going to the fair, listening to music and dancing. Pat loved watching TV and reading the newspaper with her coffee. She will be lovingly remembered as a good mother to her children.

Survivors include her daughters, JoAnn Omengebar of Lawton, Okla., Debbie Snider and Candi Snider, both of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Jesse Brecht, Kayla Brecht, Dakota Brecht, Leilani Omengebar and Kalea Omengebar; two great-grandchildren, Talon Fagan and Khloe Amos; and brother, Richard “Dick” Parmenter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Amanda Parmenter; husband, Leon Snider, in 2016; brother, Ronald Parmenter; sister, Janice Parmenter; and sisters-in-law, Connie Parmenter and Jean Parmenter.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Silver Oak Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 455 31st St., Marion, IA 52302.
