Panagiotis Georgopoulos

Panagiotis N. Georgopoulos, age 87, of Chicago and formerly of Kollines, Greece. Beloved husband of Tasia nee Kontos for 43 years. Devoted father to Katherine, Nicholas, and Demetra (fiance Joseph Kuechenmeister). Beloved grandfather to Steven. Devoted son of the late Nikolaos and Ekaterini Georgopoulos.  Loving brother to the late Tom (the late Voula), the late Augustino (the late Florence), the late Dina (Danny). Brother-in-law to Demosthenes Kontos (Christina Gabrielides) and Stavros Kontos. Fond uncle and cousin to many. Panagiotis was the owner of Niagara Restaurant in Chicago for 30 years. He will always be remembered for his generosity, strong work ethic, and deep devotion to his family and friends. A visitation will be held Thursday, May 6, 2021 at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church, 7373 N Caldwell Ave, Niles, IL, at 9:30-10:00am service to follow at 10:00am. Interment Elmwood Cemetery.
