Pamlayne “Pam” Jenice (Zoelle) Myers, 65, of New Philadelphia passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022 in Astoria Nursing Care following a short period of declining health following a stroke.
Born in Gary, Indiana on September 22,1957, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Dorothy “Dot” Jane (Gowins) Zoelle.
After graduating from New Philadelphia High School in 1976, she continued her formal education at the University of Phoenix where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in healthcare administration in 2016.
Pam spent numerous years when her children were young providing childcare throughout the community. She also worked as an administrative assistant throughout the community at various companies.
Pam was an excellent baker, often sharing her creations with friends and family. She was generous beyond measure, putting other’s needs above her own. When visiting Pam’s home this time of the year, her hundreds of Santa Clauses were on display. Pam was also a member of the Eagles in Dover for more than 20 years, often participating in the events and gatherings there.
In August of 2003, Pam married Harry W. Myers who survives. She will also be deeply missed and forever cherished by her family including her children, Amy (finance, Michael McCauley) Gilland of Dover, Samantha (Chris) Anderson of Dover, and Adam Metcalf of New Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Kailey and Brody Gilland, and Lucas Myers; her father-in-law, Lee Myers; her sister, Betty Lanzer; and her sisters-in-law, Ranelle Hudson and Syrell Wilson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Judy VanMeter, Michael Zoelle, and Williams and James Murphy.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 224 N Tuscarawas Ave., Dover, OH 44622 on Friday, December 9 beginning at 5 p.m. Cremation care will take place and burial will follow in Dover Burial Park.
