Pamela J. Ragland, 71, of Kincaid, IL died at 4:35 am, Monday, March 1, 2021 at Decatur Memorial Hospital. She was born January 5, 1950 in Springfield, IL to John and Jacqueline (Howard) Bauereiss, Sr. She married Richard “Mike” Ragland June 16, 1990.
She is survived by her husband, Richard “Mike” Ragland; five children, Theresa (Ron) Ess of Taylorville, Jackie (Ron) Lindsay of Athens, Jim (Jill) Callarman of Springfield, Jackie Judd of Springfield and Jeanette (Michael) Mead of Crossfield, TN; thirteen grandchildren, Kelsey and Ryan Ess, Sarah, Brian and Katie Lindsay, Kyle, Michael, Lacricia, Devin and Brett Callarman and Andy, Amy and Alicia Rose; sister, Grace Ann Lind of Springfield; sisters-in-law, Linda Ragland of Edinburg and Lynne Rynders of Springfield; two brothers, Harry Bauereiss of Buffalo, IL and Paul Schnapp of IA, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John Bauereiss, Jr.
Pamela was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 905 of Kincaid. She collected Precious Moment figurines, loved to scrapbook, and was a Girl Scout member and leader. Her biggest enjoyment was spending time with her grandchildren and watching them participate in their sports.
Visitation: 10:30 am – 12:30 pm, Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home- Springfield.
Funeral Service: 12:30 pm, Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Reverend Michael Berndt officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
CDC Protocol shall be followed.
