Obituary: Richard (Rick) Shea

Dayton resident Richard Joseph Shea died peacefully at his home on September 9, 2022. Rick was born March 3, 1954 in Fitchburg, MA and graduated from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst.

In 1977, he moved to Nevada and eventually settled in Carson City with his wife, Kristin and their children, Jesse and Tara. He is predeceased by his parents, Edward and Theresa Shea of Fitchburg, MA and a brother, Jack Shea of Edinburgh, UK.

He is survived by son Jesse Shea and his wife Arynn Voss of Reno; daughter Tara (Shea) June and her husband David June of Portland, OR; former wife Kristin Shea of Reno; sister Pat (Shea) Lind and husband Dale Lind of Hardwick, MA; brother Mike Shea and wife Toni Wilcox of Austin, TX; and brother Tim Shea of Templeton, MA; as well as three grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. A private family viewing will be followed by a scattering of ashes.
