Obituary for Barbara Ann Morris
- May 12, 2022
Barbara Ann (Bales) Morris. May 5, 1947-April 1, 2022 . Reunited with the love of her life, Ben, after succumbing to Sepsis/Septic Shock. She was surrounded by her family, cheering her on at the end of her earthly race.
Barbara loved her family, making crafts, using imagination, teaching and working with children. She was Grandma to so many “bonus” kids in her life, always cheering them on and freely giving out hugs and affection to anyone who needed it.
She is survived by her children, Buffy (Chris) Linkul, Benjamin Morris, and Bethany (Jesus) Perez-Morris. Grandchildren, Brandon (Zoila), Catheryn (Colby), Guillermo (Nedy), Junior (Yami), CJ, Marissa (Damian), Ira and Westten. Great-Grandchildren, Mathias and Solana. Bonus daughter, Jamie (Beau, Elizabeth, Jake, Spencer). Sister, Juanita, sister-in-law/best friend since they were 12, Gwen, Luticia, brother-in-laws, Derwin and Duane. And so many nieces, nephews, family and friends that were around throughout her life.
Thank you to the doctors, nurses, supporting staff and chaplain at Renown Hospital’s ER and Cardiac ICU units for trying their very best to save her and supporting all of us in this difficult situation.
Please remember to advocate for your loved ones and do not accept an answer if you see and feel that it is incorrect. Fight to get your loved ones the best care possible because you are their voice.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 3-7 pm (hot food served from 4-6pm) at Johnson Park 1450 Stephanie Way Minden, NV. Please dress comfortably in bright colors (avoiding red) as we celebrate Barbara’s life.
Condolences can be sent to: Buffy Linkul, 610 Ruth Street, Carson City, NV 89701.
