Addie Thrasher Fontenot

CHESTER FITZGERALD ADAMS
December 31, 1935 – April 14, 2021
MAMOU – Funeral services will be held at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, for Chester Fitzgerald Adams, 85, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, in Lake Charles surrounded by his loving family.
Father Billy Massie will be celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in the New St. Ann’s Mausoleum under the direction of Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 1 p.m.

ADDIE THRASHER FONTENOT
July 2, 1964 – April 14, 2021
At Ms. Addie Thrasher Fontenot’s request, Graveside “Cowboy” Services were held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Turkey Creek Cemetery with Reverend David Plunkett officiating under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale. Mrs. Fontenot, 56, of St. Landry, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and a wonderful homemaker. Her hobbies included genealogy, gardening, and baking. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Joseph Thrasher; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Oswald and Grace Fontenot; and one sister, Donna Soileau.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her loving husband of 40 years, Mitchell Fontenot, of St. Landry; one son, Mitchell Fontenot Jr., of St. Landry; two daughters, Brandy Joubert and her husband, Shannon, and Michelle Deshotel and her husband, Cody, both of Ville Platte; her mother, Armous Jean Fontenot, of Ville Platte; two sisters, Mary Thrasher and Anita Fontenot, both of Ville Platte; six grandchildren, Taylor Perrodin, Kallie Deshotel, Rory Perrodin Jr., Cody Deshotel, Jr., Ethan Perrodin and Vivian Joubert; and two step-grandchildren,
Lauren Joubert and Nicholas Joubert.
Pallbearers honored to serve were Cody Deshotel, Shannon Joubert, Nicholas Joubert, Zack Marcantel, Cody Deshotel, Jr., Rory Perrodin Jr., Ethan Perrodin, and Lance Soileau.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston Street, Lafayette, LA, 70503.
