Norman J. Burian, age 90 of Bristol, IL passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born on February 1, 1933 in Chicago, IL the son of James and Margaret (Meskowski) Burian.
Norman was united in marriage on January 8, 1955 in Chicago, IL to Nancy L. Gray and they spent the next 44 years happily together until her passing on April 23, 1999. Mr. Burian was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Yorkville, IL. Norman was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, soon to be, great-great grandfather, and brother who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Norman is survived by his children, James (Lois) Burian, Michael Burian, Kathy (Richard) Greenwell, Peggy (Jim) Mattila, Susan (Dennis) Ohlenkamp, and Beth Usry; his 10 grandchildren; his 4 great-grandchildren; also soon to be, great-great grandfather to a baby boy due in March 2024.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Margaret Burian; his wife, Nancy Burian; his son-in-law, John Usry; his sibling, Sister Rosemarie Burian.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL with Father Martin Hebda, officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Patrick Cemetery in Bristol, IL.
Friends may visit from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at the Funeral Home in Yorkville, IL.
