Norma Jean Marshall

Norma Jean Marshall, 89, of Springfield, passed away at 4:39 pm, Sunday, April 17, 2022. She was born January 13, 1933 in Niantic, IL to Earl Charles and Hazel Marie (Mehl) Armstrong. She married Bill E. Marshall on March 16, 1952 and he survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Vicki (Darrel) Pfeiffer of Springfield; one son, Greg (Sandy) Marshall of Buffalo; six grandchildren, Traci (Rob) Sisk, Kathy Wilkins, Aarron (Lara) Marshall, Mandy Fitchen, Robyn (Bill) Powell, and Adam (Leighann) Anderson; thirteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Jane Kirby and one brother, Bill Amstrong.

Norma Jean lived a wonderful life on the farm with her husband of 70 years. They enjoyed traveling and spent the last 30 years wintering in Bonita Springs, Florida.  She loved crafts, quilting, puzzles, QVC, reading and so much more.  She was a homemaker and a resident of Springfield since 1995. She was previously of Mechanicsburg.

Visitation: 10 – 11 am, Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service:  11 am, Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Pastor Shane Hartman officiating.  Burial to follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
