Noel Mullins

Noel Mullins, beloved husband, brother, father, and grandfather went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 20, 2022, at the age of 77.

Noel was born in Greenville, Texas and grew up in Grand Prairie where he graduated from Grand Prairie High School. After graduation, he attended Baylor University. He then pursued a lifelong career in banking. On June 27, 1983, he married the love of his life, Donna and they had a blended family which they raised together.

Family was always an important part of his life. He was a very dedicated and loving father to his children and his pride and joy was when he became Papa to his five grandchildren, who he loved spending time with and supporting them in their activities. Noel was always the go to person for any needs or questions. He was always a helping hand and would stop what he was doing to provide assistance no matter the circumstances or how long he knew you.

Noel’s love of life was reflected in the many ways he chose to spend his time. He was an avid horse lover from breeding, training, and racing quarter horses to team roping. He loved to ride his Harley on the open road. He built and crashed remote control airplanes with the best. His love for racing remote control boats led him to his love for his pontoon boat. His love of guns led him to Cowboy Action Shooting where he cultivated many lifelong friends. While spending time on his son-in-law’s ranch, he began to enjoy hunting.

Noel is preceded in death by his parents, Neal and Melba Mullins, and his son, Shawn Odom. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Donna Mullins; daughter Michelle Smith and husband Chad, daughter Ashley Moon and husband Mark, son Gary Mullins and wife Carrie; grandchildren Parker and Aubrey Moon and Malloree, Brenna, and Brice Smith; sister Vickie Davis and husband Day Obst.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
