Nicholas “Nick” Charles Williams

Nicholas “Nick” Charles Williams, 40, passed away on September 2, 2022 at St. John’s Hospital. He was born December 18, 1981 in Springfield, IL to Daniel and Yvonna (Smith) Williams. Nick and Heather married on October 4, 2008.

He is survived by his wife, Heather; two children, Zack and Zoey Williams; his parents, Daniel and Yvonna Williams of Rochester, one sister, Christina (Jordan) Stott of Petersburg; one brother, Jacob Williams of Springfield; grandmother, Norma Babcook of Springfield; several nieces and nephews, Kendyl, Leah, Reagan, Jay and Levi and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Zachary Williams, and grandparents, Robert and Linda Williams.

Nick was the Director of Finance at Sangamon Area Special Education District since 2005. He was a member of the American Motorcycle Association, a flattrack racer and very involved in sports with his children.

Visitation: 4 – 7 pm, Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 11 am, Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home-Springfield with Pastor Ken Gennicks officiating. Burial will follow at Old Salem Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to an education fund for his children in c/o Heather Williams.
