She was born on Jan. 1, 1963. Her parents were Nowa Kabila and Martha Tatu. Ms. Ngoyi is Mluba from Kiambi, Muhondo from Ms. Ngoyi’s family.

Mr. Nowa Kabila engendered 10 children. Among the 10, eight are females and two are males. Ngoyi Olive Kabila was the seventh child. Unfortunately, only two sisters from Ms. Ngoyi’s siblings are still alive. One of the two resides in South Africa and the other on lives in Democratic Republic of the Congo / Katanga in Kalemi region. Ms. Ngoyi Olive Kabila was born and grew in a family of Christians and her life ended in the same, Christian.

Ngoyi completed her elementary school in Uvira at AEP Kasenga and completed her high school at Lycée Umoja (former St Immaculée High School) in 1983. After graduation, Ms. Ngoyi Olive Kabila became self-employed and engaged in the fish business at Kitoke/Marasine. Ms. Ngoyi was a hard worker, supplying fish from Kalemi to Bukavu in round trips.

When war busted in 1996 in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ms. Ngoyi fled to Tanzania for her safety and was embarked in Lugufu refugee camps where she started a new life. After a little while, Ms. Ngoyi was elected to be a refugee woman representative at Lugufu camp.

Ms. Ngoyi learned English and successfully completed daycare training for three years and immediately initiated her own daycare business in Iowa. After a long-term daycare experience, Ms. Ngoyi decided to switch to serving diverse companies including Nordstrom, Amana, Whirlpool, JBS Marshalltown and more.

Ms. Ngoyi was blessed to be married with her husband Vyagusa Edward in a Christian church. They both legally married each other. Ms. Ngoyi perceived her husband Edward Vyagusa as her rescuer and they both cooperated in addressing all issues in their life. Ms. Ngoyi and her husband Vyagusa Edward were unfortunate to be blessed with any child, but all is about God’s plans. Ms. Ngoyi and her husband decided to get married four years after their initial encounter.

Ms. Ngoyi’s life was marked by love for people with no discrimination. She got along with all tribes and was pleasurable to everyone. She always gathered all the tribes when it came to celebrations, and everyone was welcome in her house. She always financially contributed to support bereaved families and families celebrating success opportunities.

Her very last party was marked by an unfortunate incident whereby, toward the end of the party, she had an unexpected heart attack. Invitees called for the ambulance that took her to ER. This happened on May 13, 2023. Sadly, after a short time we got a phone call from the accompanying family announcing that Ms. Ngoyi had passed away.

Ms. Ngoyi’s edifying background and legacy will continue to help many people to further understand who she was. Ms. Ngoyi and her husband Edward Vyagusa were separated by death.
