Nancy Ratcliff, 90, of Cedar Rapids, passed on Nov. 2, 2022, at Meadowview Memory Care. Nancy grew up in Des Moines, the daughter of Colyer and Virginia Sisam. She met the love of her life, Jim Ratcliff, at Simpson College. They were married in 1953 and moved to Cedar Rapids where they had two children, Mark and Jennie.

Nancy enjoyed working in the woman’s clothing field. She worked for many local retailers with the highlight being owning her own store, Ratcliff’s, in the 70s and 80s. Nancy loved playing bridge and tennis, watching the Iowa Hawkeyes, and getting together with friends and family for evenings of good food and laughter.

Nancy will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Jennie (Dennis) Park; her grandchildren, Matt (Valerie) Park and Taylor Park; and great-grandson, Liam.

Nancy will reunite with her loved ones that have passed, husband, Jim; son, Mark; her parents; and brothers, Dave and Richard.

The family will be celebrating Nancy privately. She felt very blessed to have such wonderful friends and family and would love all of us to remember the good times that were had together over the years.

The family would like to thank Meadowview Memory Care’s staff for taking care of Nancy for the past couple years. Also thank you to Mercy Hospice.
