Mr. John Louis Dixie
John L. Dixie 87 of Cleveland, Ohio Passed away on December 24th, 2021 at McGregor Home. John was born May 13th, 1934 in New York, New York to the LATE John Thomas Dixie and Cleota Haynes. John Moved to Cleveland, Ohio at an early age. John attended John Adams High School. Where he met Sylvia Presley and Married in 1957. John also attended the Ohio State University. John was an Avid Golfer and loved his boats. He was an Entrepreneur Most of his life. As a young teenager he began delivering News Papers. Later he worked at Republic Steel for about a year and quit to begin his career as an insurance agent and also became the manager for United Insurance Company. John owned many businesses through out his life. A Lawson Store and apartments in the 60’s. along with Dixie Cup Dairy Freeze and an Arco AMPM Mini Mart in the 70’s and 80’s. John was always on the go, his last job was his first9his paper route.
Big John was proceeded in death by his wife of 26 years, Sylvia Alexander. Wife of 41 years Dorothy Morgan, his beloved Daughter Karen, Brothers Charles Dixie, and William Dixie. He is Survived by his son Jon L. Dixie, Stepdaughters; Kim Morgan Bivins, Karen Morgan Goggins. Stepson’s; Kevin Morgan and Keith Morgan. Grand Children; Aaron Robinson, Janelle Lovie, Joann Pack and Melissa Pack. And a special thanks to Cousin Kim Branch for the love and care you gave Big John.
