Mr. Harold Lawson
- December 8, 2021
Our father, Harold Lawson (Bay-Bay), passed away on December 5, 2021 after a long and hard battle with Multiple Sclerosis and several different forms of Cancer. Bay was 49 years old.
Bay was born in 1972 to his parents, Sylvia Foster and Delbert Lawson. Growing up, Bay always loved family time with his parents, sister, brothers, grandmother, aunts, uncle, cousins, nieces and nephews. This would go on to shape his life as an adult and would inspire him to be a dedicated and loving father.
After meeting Lynda (Byrd) in 1988 through childhood friend Haywood, the pair went on to date for several years accumulating seven children together, Alechia, Jerry, Chyreice, Jamaurei, Romir, Lynden and Lyndale. These children later grew their own families making Bay a grandpa of 11 grandchildren. Much like fatherhood Bay cherished his role as Paw-Paw, actively caring for all his grandchildren despite his illnesses. During Bays healthier years he was a Pilar in his community helping anyone and everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. Without Bay’s love and support, the lives of many in our family and the community would have been drastically different.
We mourn the loss of our father and encourage any and all who knew him to remember the kindness and bright light he brought to this world. For those interested, services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday December 14th at Calhoun Funeral Home, 23000 Rockside Rd. Bedford Heights, OH 44146. The viewing will be that Monday December 13th at same location 4-6pm. Repast will be held Tuesday following service from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Killingsworth Meeting Place. If you would like to donate or show your support for our family, please contact Alechia Bryant directly at (216)376-4797 or bryantalechia@gmail.com
