Mitchell Horwitz, age 59, of Schaumburg. Beloved partner of Barbara Diones. Devoted father to Effie & Andrew.  Dear brother to Jeff (Joyce Horwitz) and Sheryl (Jim Cerkleski).  Dear brother-in-law to Konnie (Ed Weeks).  Beloved son of the late Morton and Sharlene Horwitz.  Devoted Uncle to Michael (Nicki), Stephanie (Kevin), Natalie, Kelsey, Bryce, Nicholas and Zoe.  Mitch was an avid Chicago sports fan, he enjoyed traveling and being with friends and family.  Mitch’s favorite topic in the world was his kids Effie and Andrew who he loved with his entire being and took great pride in.  A visitation will be held, Monday January 17, 2022 at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy. Palatine IL from 4:00 to 8:00pm. The funeral service will be Tuesday January 18, at the funeral home at 11:00am. Interment to follow  at Randhill Cemetery 1700 W. Rand Rd.
