Mildred Kate Chandler-Mohammed was born February 3, 1932. In Warm Springs, GA to the late Finley and Georgia Mae Terry. Mildred Mohammed accepted Christ at an early age at Williams Chapel Church in Warms Spring, Ga.

 

Early in her life she met Horace Waller as a result of that union one child was conceived Sarah Terry Polk. After her daughter was born Mildred relocated to Detroit, MI. briefly and later settled in Cleveland, Ohio where she met and married her late husband, Russell Mohammed.

 

Mildred worked in the food service industry and was a diligent employee with strong work ethics. For 25 years she worked as one of Stouffer’s on the square top chefs. While working there she received many awards and accommodations. She would go on later to retire from Stouffer’s on the square.

 

Mildred was very family oriented and love spending time with her family. She had many hobbies which included music, cooking, traveling and her favorite Bingo. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother.

 

Mildred was called home on December 14, 2021 at 5:59am. She was the last surviving member of her siblings. To proceed her in death, Herman Reese, Olin Reese, Rose Dunning (Hollie) Annie Pearl Lakes (James) and her husband Russell Mohammed.

 

She loves to cherish her memories a loving daughter Sarah Polk, son-in-law Sam Polk. Three granddaughters: Kathy Briggs, Sandra George (John George) and Shelia Polk. Seven great grandchildren: Samantha & Kyran Washington, Antoinnett, Marshay & Jaquan George, Gary, Norman, Nicole and Lakayla and a host of great and great great grandchildren niece nephew family and friends
