Mildred Clark Gardner

Mildred Gardner, 95, of Carolina Village, Hendersonville, North Carolina died Wednesday, November 3, 2021. Mildred Gardner was born September 26, 1926 in Marshall, Missouri.

After graduating from Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Missouri, Mildred became a high school teacher in Wentzville, Missouri. There she met and married Wayne Charles Gardner, the school principal. They were married 55 wonderful years. Before retiring to Hendersonville, North Carolina, Wayne and Mildred lived in Fort Wayne, Indiana and Jackson, Michigan. Mildred was a member of P.E.O. chapters in Jackson, Michigan and Hendersonville, North Carolina. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Hendersonville.

Mildred was preceded in death by her loving husband Wayne and is survived by sister-in-laws Ann Sears of Kansas City, Missouri, Carmen Yos of Kirksville, Missouri, Francis Bunch of Milan, Missouri, many nieces and nephews, two Godsons Christopher Pond of Jackson, Michigan and Gregory Pond of Saugatuck, Michigan.

A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church in Hendersonville at a date yet to be determined.
