Michael C. Coffman, age 70 of Plano, IL, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born on January 31, 1953 in Aurora, IL, the son of Erwin and Lois (Howe) Coffman.
Mike was united in marriage on December 22, 1979 to Sheree Martin and they spent the next 43 years happily together. Mike was an owner and Vice President at Coffman Truck Sales in Aurora, IL where he worked over 50 years. He enjoyed spending his weekends “Up North” where he loved boating on the Chain O’ Lakes. Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
Mike is survived by his wife, Sheree Coffman of Plano, IL; his daughter, Michelle (Tyler) Thomas of Yorkville, IL; his grandchildren, Sydney and Maxson Thomas of Yorkville, IL; his siblings, Stephen Coffman of Sandwich, IL and Linda Neubert of Yorkville, IL; his father-in-law, James Martin of Plano, IL; his brothers-in-law, Rickey (Laurie) Martin of Sheridan, IL and Gary (Theresa) Martin of Somonauk, IL; also several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Erwin and Lois Coffman, and his mother-in-law Nancy Martin.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1010 West South Street, Plano, IL. Interment will follow in the Little Rock Cemetery in Plano, IL.
Friends may visit from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Monday, September 4, 2023 at the Funeral Home in Plano, IL.
