Michael Lemaster

Michael Lemaster

Michael “Mike” Lemaster of Mansfield passed away Monday, March 7, 2022, at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

He was born December 5, 1953, in Mansfield, Ohio and graduated from Crestview High School in 1972. He was a great businessman who grew his business by relationships. He owned and operated Mike Lemaster Insurance and was loved by his customers. Mike was generous and meticulous in what he had been blessed with. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was quick with his one-liners. He made everyone laugh with gentle teasing and a bright smile. You could spark his competitive side with a game of cornhole—in his bare feet—or Euchre proclaiming “that’s my best”. He attended Crossroads Church.

Mike is survived by two step daughters, Maria Pia Cabrera and Andrea Cabrera; two brothers, Larry (Betty) Lemaster and Malvon Lemaster; five nieces and nephews, Gwyn (David) Yoxtheimer, Jason Lemaster, Kelly Hoover, Jobina Hill and Daniel (Lydia Kruse) Lemaster; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pilar (Valdivieso) Lemaster; and his parents, Wandalene (Wagoner) and Earl Lemaster.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2022, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Edward Colgrove officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
