Michael J. Poivey was born March 7,1950 in Rockford, Illinois to James A. and Virginia (Goerlitz) Poivey. He passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 at Vintage on The Ponds in Delavan.

Michael was a loving husband, father, grandfather and dog father.  He loved his family and friends, his three beautiful dogs, his house,  playing golf, boating, music, the Cubs and the Bears.  He was a great salesman, manager, husband and father.

He will be greatly missed.

Michael is survived by his wife Denise P. (Farren), whom he married on July 26, 1980 in Kansas City, Missouri; his daughter Hanna (Patrick) Begley; grandchildren Harrison, Isabella, and Will.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Walworth County Food Pantry, 205 E. Commerce Ct., Elkhorn, WI 53121.
