Michael D. Foos

Michael D. Foos, 67, of Dover, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021 in New Dawn Retirement Community at Dover following a period of declining health.

A son of Norma J. (Smith) Foos and the late Donald E. Foos, Michael was born May 14, 1954 in Fremont, Ohio.

Michael graduated from Gibsonburg High School in 1972. Then on May 1, 1977, he married the former Rebecca A. Lieser and the couple raised two children, Douglas Michael and Tamara Renee.

He was an active member of Dover Alliance Church. Michael also worked as a maintenance technician for Subway Restaurants in the area.

He is survived by his mother, Norma; his wife of 44 years, Rebecca; his son, Douglas; his grandchildren, Austin and Angele Foos and Caleb, Emma and Silas Paige; a sister, Kathy (Harold) Grove and two brothers, Mark Foos and Kevin (Sandra) Foos.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Donald and daughter, Tamara.

In keeping with Michael’s wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service celebrating his life will take place on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. The family will receive guests prior to the service from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
