Maryann Stewart, a longtime resident of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025. A life-long caregiver, she was a cancer care nurse at Mercy Hospital for many years, and a parish nurse at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Cedar Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Huber Jr. in 1986, by her husband R. Thomas Stewart in 2000, and by her daughter, Jane Huber in 2024.

She is survived by her son, John Huber of New York City and by her daughter, Ellen Lyons of Fairbanks, Alaska.

A Memorial Service will be held at Lovely Lane Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids on November 8, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mathew-25 at https://www.matthew-25.org/ or Iowa Public Radio.
