Mary Ellen Sattler

Mary Ellen Sattler, 84, of Springfield, died Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Mill Creek. She was born June 26, 1937 in Springfield, to Marshall and Marie Wainwright and they preceded her in death.

She married Charles A. Sattler on April 21, 1963 and he preceded her in death on November 7, 2005.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, son, Robert Sattler, three brothers, Jim, Jack and Marshall “Bud” Wainwright, and two sisters, Deloris Harbauer and Marlene Herndon.

Survivors include one son, Charles “Chuck” Sattler of Springfield and three grandsons, Ryan, Max and Blake Sattler.

After graduating from Lanphier High School in 1955 she worked in the banking industry but was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a former member and organist at Wesley United Methodist Church and a member of Panther Creek Country Club and Island Bay Yacht Club and she loved to play golf, watch baseball, travel and spend time with her grandsons that she so adored.

Visitation: 12:00 –1:00 pm, Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home-Springfield.

Funeral Service: 1:00 pm, Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home-Springfield with Reverend Donn Stephens officiating. A private burial will be held at Oak Ridge Cemetery at a later date.
