Mary Elizabeth Wright

Mary Elizabeth Wright, 59, of Williamsville, died at 1:54 pm on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at St. John’s Hospital. She was born July 18, 1962 in Springfield to Carl and Carole Patterson. She married James Charles Wright on May 6, 1989.

She is survived by her husband, James Wright; three children, Nathanial (Keri) Ragan of Carterville, Mareca (Steven) Beard of Sherman and Kaylene (Jeffrey) Prince of Springfield;  eight grandchildren, Nora, Cadence, Paul, Ezra, Arlo, Audrie, Colton, Xavier and one on the way; four siblings, Robert (Tina) Patterson, Steven (Bonnie) Patterson, Pam (Homer) Ealey and Jackie Patterson all of Mechanicsburg; sister at heart, Terri (Butch) Lamb of Petersburg and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandma, Cleo Patterson and cousin, Gerard Paoli.

Mary  taught Sunday school for over 35 years. She enjoyed gardening, hummingbirds and her grandchildren.  She was a bookkeeper for Conn’s Catering and worked at Metal Decor as a typesetterf for 36 years.

Visitation: 4 – 7 pm, Monday, November 22, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home-Springfield.

Funeral: 7:00 pm, Monday, November 22, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home-Springfield with Pastor Jon Carrell officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Brother James Court or American Heart Assoiation.
