Mary Ann Palazzolo
Mary Ann Palazzolo, 72, of Springfield died peacefully with her family at her side, at 12:00 pm, Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at University of Chicago Medical Center. She was born July 2, 1950 in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Thomas and Velma (Miller) Lawless. She married James Palazzolo February 11, 1970.
Surviving are her husband, James of Springfield; two daughters, Michele (Tim) Lyons and Christy Wells, both of Springfield; two granddaughters, Meredith Lyons and Natalie Wells; one brother, Patrick Lawless of Springfield and several nieces and nephews, including Lisa (Chris) Sommer and Matthew Fitzgerald and great nieces and nephews including, Connor, Austin and Alison Sommer.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Janet Fitzgerald.
Mary Ann was a member of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. She loved to read and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She retired from AT&T as a manager after 30 years of service.
Memorial Mass: 10:00 am Friday, November 4, 2022 at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with Reverend Dominic Vahling officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date.
