Mary Ann Adkins
Mary Ann Adkins, nee Feulner, age 79, passed away peacefully November 21, 2021. She was born July 20, 1942 in Chicago to John and Frances.
Beloved wife of Roger Adkins Sr. for 58 wonderful years. Devoted mother to Roger Adkins Jr. and Brenda Adkins. Cherished grandmother to Ryan (Nicole) Adkins, and Kyle Adkins. Loving sister to John Feulner (the late Joyce) and the late Stephen Feulner (Tina). Dear aunt to Steve (Jennifer) Feulner Jr. and their children Tyler, Quinn, Bella, Angie, and Joey. Friend and cousin to many.
For many years Mary Ann worked at Decatur Classical School and Clinton Elementary School as the lunchroom manager for the Chicago Public School (CPS) system. She spoke often about her years at CPS, and had many wonderful stories to share about the children and her co-workers. Her years spent in service to the children filled her heart with joy.
Her life was a living example of kindness and service to others. She was incredibly kind hearted and always put her family first. Mary Ann adored spending time with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
Please join us celebrating her life Sunday, November 28 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Smith Corcoran Chicago Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Avenue, Chicago IL. Prayer service will be held on Monday, November 29, at 11:00 AM at Smith Corcoran Chicago Funeral Home followed by a procession to Maryhill Cemetery at 8600 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Niles IL.
