Marvin Charley Blount II

Marvin Charley Blount II, was born May 31, 1966, to Charles Flay Blount and Eileen Ester Siegel- Blount in Dallas County, Irving Hospital. Marvin was a graduate of Eastern Hills High School in Ft. Worth, TX. Class of 86’ He also attended Tarrant County Jr. College, as TCC was called back then. Marvin loved his family, family history, and stories his Grandmother Margaret would tell him. He loved going to Mineral Wells to visit aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as visiting his uncle Jack in Florida. Anything the family did he wanted to be a part of. He especially loved family Thanksgivings and Christmases. He always had a big smile for everyone.

 

Marvin was preceded in death by his father Charles Flay Blount, mother Eileen Ester Siegel- Blount, his Paternal Grandmother Margaret Porter-Mathis, whom he resided with for 26 years, maternal grandparents Sigmund and Patricia Siegel, Roy and Ruthie Siegel – Lusk, grandfather Marvin Charley Blount I (the 1st) cousin Melissa Anne Cottongame, Uncle Joe Kayl (Rosanne’s husband).

 

Marvin is survived by family: Sisters Connie Blount- Coyne (Marc), cousins Marie, Colin, Joann Blount-Gouge and Joann’s boyfriend (Rogelio Ramos), cousins Chad McWilliams (Aubrey), cousins Erin, Connor, Emma, his uncle Jack Siegel and cousins Dean Siegel, Debbie Siegel, aunt Rosanne Kayl, his special cousin and best friend Denise Cottongame-Bone, who helped him tremendously for the last 8 years of his life as a promise to his maternal grandmother which she faithfully kept and did it with so much love and care for him, cousins Frankie Bone, Brayden, David Bone, (Amber), Olivia, and David Jr., who were so special to him, Courtney Cottongame- Slack (Andrew), Ethan, and Evan, Courtney Barber (William),Re’gan, Lilly, Brooke, Case, Lindsey Romine (Chris),Paige , Gavin, Jerred Kayl, Lainey, Liana. Also, his childhood friend Kari Barnes (longtime family friend).

 

He had numerous great aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins. There were many in the Granbury and Ft. Worth, Irving community who loved him and cared so much for him such as Terrence Butler, Carl Turney, Andrew Ottaway and Rex Cummings. The family is grateful for all who loved and cared for Marvin.

 

Service will be at Holly Hills Chapel. Interment will be with his maternal grandmother at Holly Hills in Granbury, Tx.
