Martin J. Goodale

Martin James Goodale, age 73, of Chandler, AZ formerly Yorkville, IL passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at the Cooper Creek Inn Memory Care Community in Chandler, AZ. He was born in Kewanee, IL the son of James and Donna (Gutschlag) Goodale.

Mr. Goodale served his country proudly as a member of the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Martin was a Division Manager for Caterpillar who was a certified manufacturing engineer, retiring after 42 years. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his son, Mitchell (Cheryl) Goodale of Yorkville, IL; his grandchildren, Skylar, Colton and McKenzie; his brother, Jamie Goodale of Crystal Lake, IL; his sisters, Christine (Rick) Norris of Moline, IL and Kathy (Paul) Von Holten of Yorkville, IL; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Donna Goodale.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL. Interment will be private.

Friends may visit from 9:00 AM until the Hour of Service on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the Funeral Home in Yorkville, IL.
