Marshall “Dale” Way

Marshall “Dale” Way, 68 of Springfield, died at 6:04 pm, Saturday, April 3, 2021 at his home. He was born February 27, 1953 in Springfield, to Lyle and Helen Stevens Way. He married Nikki Shelton on September 11, 1982 and she survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Dawn (Ray) Johnson of Littleton, CO; two sons, Chad (Hannah) Way of Auburn and Drue Way of Springfield; Five grandchildren, Emma Weisberg, CJ Way, Maxine Johnson, George Way, and Zenna Hoover; two sisters, Linda Way of Springfield and Brenda Way of Riverton; two brothers, Raymond (Carol) Way of Riverton and Dan (Janeen) Way of Tallula and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother.

Dale was a US Army veteran serving during the Vietnam Era. He retired as a laborer and enjoyed camping, hunting, and NASCAR racing.

Funeral Service: 10 am Friday, April 9, 2021 at Camp Butler National Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted.
