Marlene Elizabeth Willoughby

Marlene Elizabeth Willoughby, 81, of Sherman, passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at her home. She was born April 15, 1939 to Joseph and Evelyn Cook Frain. She married Fred E. Willoughby on December 26, 1959 and he survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Steven F. (Julie) Willoughby of Gallatin, TN and Kevin E. Willoughby of Sandy Springs, GA; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Joseph R. Frain of Noblesville, IN and two half-brothers, Michael S. Vetter of Northville, MI and Barry G. Vetter of San Francisco, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one identical twin sister, Darlene Grace.
Marlene resided in Sherman for nearly 60 years after graduating from Kincaid High School. She worked for Franklin Life Insurance, Williamsville School District and US Postal Service, retiring as Postmaster at the Cantrall, IL Post Office.
Marlene was an avid card and domino player, enjoyed ballroom dance and liked watching birds in her feeders.
Cremation will be accorded by Staab Funeral Home – Sherman.
Celebration of Life: Hosted by the family on May 1, 2021 at Williamsville Community Center, 141 W. Main St, Williamsville, IL. The time will be updated.
