Marla M. Pentecost, 63, of Monticello passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024, in Andrew with her family by her side.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Dawson Funeral Services of Wyoming is caring for her family.
Marla Maye was born on December 3, 1961, to Lumyr and Jean (Nelson) French in Maquoketa, Iowa. She graduated in 1980 from Midland High School. In July of 1985 she was united in marriage to Myron Pentecost at the Wyoming Fairgrounds. Marla loved playing Bingo in numerous locations. She and her sister Melanie delivered the Cedar Rapids Gazette for over ten years. She is a member of the Wyoming Methodist Church. She enjoyed going to local auctions or fairs. Her grandchildren were her greatest blessings, and she loved spending time with them.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Myron, son Matt (Sabrina) French, three grandchildren: Amy (Austin) Vozenilek, Ayden Stark, Abbigail Stark, her siblings: Kay (Randy) Coghlan of Toddville, Michael French of Anamosa, Melanie (Larry) Laughridge of Monticello, her twin sister Carla Pentecost of Marion, Richard French of Oxford Junction and Ricky French of Oxford Junction.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
